Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president Jay Shah has revealed Asia Cup's official schedule on Twitter.

Taking to the social site just minutes before the schedule and trophy unveiling ceremony called by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in Lahore - official hosts of the Asian event, Shah dropped the complete schedule.

The event will start on August 30 with hosts Pakistan taking on Nepal at Multan Cricket Stadium. Lahore will host three games including a Super Four contest.

Sri Lanka's Kandy and Colombo will host the remaining nine matches including the final.

Pakistan will take on India in group stage on September 2 in Kandy. If they both qualify for the next round, they will once again meet on September 10 at the same venue.

If the arch-rivals also advance to the final, they will lock horns in Colombo on September 17.

A hybrid model will be used for the Asia Cup this year after India refused to tour Pakistan for the event due to security concerns. It was presented by former PCB Management Committee chairman Najam Sethi.

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal will compete in a total of 13 ODI matches.

These teams are divided into two groups with Group A including Pakistan, India and Nepal. Meanwhile, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are in Group B.
